Record

Your voice on every slide, rendered to MP4

Record is the Pro workspace that checks every slide, renders your ElevenLabs voiceover, and produces the narrated MP4, with pronunciation handled before a single word is spoken.

The readiness panel tells you what’s blocking

Click the fourth workflow step and pick a video in the outline. The center panel names the selected module and video, and directly underneath is the fastest explanation of anything blocking the recording. If a message names a missing image, finish that visual in Design first.

Below the message are the production checks: Pronunciation runs before recording so names, brands, and acronyms are spoken correctly, and Voiceover tells you whether narration is up to date. Each slide lists its own readiness status: read the first unfinished item before starting a new recording.

Connect your ElevenLabs voice

In the Your voice panel, the first field is your ElevenLabs API key (from Developers, then API keys inside ElevenLabs: create it, copy it, keep it private). The second field is the Voice ID (Voices, then My voices, open the 3-dot menu and choose Copy voice ID). They are different values and the labels say which goes where. To clone your own voice, use ElevenLabs’ instant or professional voice clone, then copy the new voice’s ID back here.

Voice direction is optional: a delivery note like “smooth and calm” or “slightly slower.” Never share your API key or leave it visible in a screen recording.

Advanced voice settings, one change at a time

Advanced voice settings stays collapsed until you need it. Three starting points sit on top: Expressive, Balanced (the CourseBuilder default: stability 50%, similarity 85%, style exaggeration 0, speaker boost on), and Consistent. Every cloned voice is different, so make one small change, test, and listen before touching another control. Save voice stores the settings for that voice ID only; Revert returns to the default.

Your pronunciation library

Every word you confirm during a pronunciation check is saved under Pronunciations and applies across your courses. View and edit opens the library: the written word on the left, the spoken form on the right. Leave the spoken form empty when it should be read as written; enter a phonetic version when a name, acronym, or brand needs special treatment. Add a word saves a new term before you record.

Changing or removing a saved pronunciation makes any rendered voiceover that used it out of date: the next check rebuilds those videos and spends ElevenLabs credits, so review entries before saving changes.

Record the whole course

When every readiness item is complete, click Record whole course: the button shows how many videos will be processed. CourseBuilder checks every slide, runs the pronunciation pass, renders the voiceovers, and produces the MP4s. Keep the tab open; the status shows which part is active. Credits are spent only on what changed, so fixing one slide later rebuilds only the affected material.

Review before you publish

When the MP4 is ready, the latest recording panel appears on the right with a player. Listen for pronunciation, pacing, and transitions, and confirm the visuals match the narration. If words need work, return to Write. If an image needs work, return to Design. If the voice needs work, adjust voice direction, the advanced settings, or the pronunciation library, then run Record whole course again. Download video saves the main MP4.
