Write

Where the outline becomes your actual course

Write is where slide titles, learner-facing bullets, your presenter notes, and the visual instructions all take shape, with exact hand editing or guided AI revision on every slide.

Video walkthrough · 8 min · every click shown in the real CourseBuilder

Know your workspace

Across the top sit your image balance, word balance, theme button, and account menu. Writing and revising uses words; creating artwork later uses images. The CourseBuilder logo returns you to the dashboard.

Below that is the course title with a small pencil: the Rename button. Rename an existing course any time; you never have to start over. At the upper right, Present opens the clean presentation view once the course has its images.

The wide status bar shows how much of the course is built. During an active build, keep the tab open and let CourseBuilder finish before starting another operation.

The course outline is your map

The outline on the left holds the entire project. Modules are the large numbered sections; open a module to see its videos, open a video to see its slides. A check beside a module means its writing is ready for review. Select any slide to bring it into the center workspace.

Read a slide like a pro

Every slide card shows its module, video, and slide number, the slide title, and the bullets your learners will actually see. Read the bullets before you build the whole course: the goal is not just grammatical copy, it should sound connected to your source and to you. Your real framework names appearing in the copy is the sign CourseBuilder understood your book.

Presenter notes opens the full teaching script under the slide: what you say while the audience sees the short bullets. Visual direction shows the image prompt attached to the slide: the subject, setting, mood, and composition Design will use later. Both toggle closed again with one click.

Edit: exact control, zero word spend

Click Edit and the slide switches to editing mode with four fields: the slide title, the bullets (one per line, each line becomes one visible bullet), the presenter notes, and the visual direction. In the notes, the 3-dot dividers mark the tab points between sections of narration, so keep them unless you want to change the pacing.

Save commits every field. Cancel discards. Hand editing never asks the AI to generate copy, so it spends no words.

Ask: guided revision in plain English

Click Ask and the Ask CourseBuilder panel opens, locked to the exact slide you are on. Describe the result you want: “rewrite the first bullet to sound more direct and specific, but keep the same meaning.” Be specific about the element and the outcome, then click Send. Because this asks the AI to write again, it uses words from your balance.

Read the result. Keep the improvement, or use Edit when you want exact control over the final language.

Add a slide or delete one, safely

Once a video’s deck is fully written, every slide card shows Add Slide beside a trash control. Click Add Slide on the card the new slide should follow: CourseBuilder opens a chat, asks what the slide should cover, proposes a title and 4 bullets for your approval, then writes the presenter notes, draws the artwork, and inserts the finished slide right after the card you chose. Adding after slide 5 makes the new card slide 6, and later slides renumber down one.

The trash control deletes that exact slide, after a confirmation that names the slide, warns that later slides renumber, and warns that deletion cannot be undone.

The workbook rides along

The Workbook tab beside Slides holds the workbook material CourseBuilder created for the course. Review it module by module along with the slides and notes so the exercises support the teaching. When the whole build finishes, review each new slide the same way, then move to Design.
